DRAMA SINGING ROCK SCHOOL JAZZ  DANCE PIANO

ROYAL  ACADEMY  OF  DANCE®

Royal Academy of Dance syllabus in Classical Ballet for Boys & Girls is taught by registered RAD teachers in a professional atmosphere, concentrating on the development of dance technique, artistic presentation and musicality. All students have Pilates or other exercises incorporated into their ballet programme. This component is an essential part of training and ensures that students learn correct body alignment and the use of appropriate muscle groups. Classes are in French, English & Indonesian. Positions in Classical Ballet all have French terminology and students are expected to learn this. NB: Students who have already been graded by RAD will keep their grades. Non RAD ballet students who have been graded by another examining body will be re-evaluated by our RAD certified teachers and put into a grade that compliments their current ability. This sometimes means that they may go down a grade but with constant practice a student can then be graded to RAD standard.

Teachers following the RAD system encourage students to achieve their personal best in the understanding, appreciation and performance of Classical Ballet. Whatever age or stage they may have reached, students who study with a RAD trained teacher can be confident that they are receiving a comprehensive and a well structured and relevant education in Classical Ballet. They can be sure that they will be taught according to safe teaching principles and that they will be evaluated through progressively structured graded examinations.   The Royal Academy of Dance has an international Board of Examiners resident throughout the world. Examiners, who are experienced and respected teachers, must undergo a rigorous selection process and training programme before being appointed as an Examiner. Their professional expertise, together with the ability to create a welcoming and reassuring environment in the examination studio, will ensure the necessary personal qualities and high professional standards expected of the Examining Board.  Students wishing to take the RAD certification must book and pay in advance. DRAMA

.  Students are taught basic acting skills and the emotion needed to bring their characters to life on stage or film. As the students progresses, tuition will include Musical Theatre, Mask in Drama, Improvisation and Shakespeare. Students will have many opportunities to perform live in a real theatre and will also showcase their work throughout the year at Bali SoDA. From time to time Bali SoDA will invite prominent people from the entertainment industry to view showcases that students present with the sole aim of being cast in Films, TV or Theatre productions. Classes are taught in English.  For Indonesian nationals wishing to pursue an acting career it is recommended that they take English lessons at recommended language institutes in Bali.

SINGING

Sing your heart out to your favourite songs Pop, Rock, Broadway, Country and Folk are available. This class includes music notation too. Classes are in English or Indonesian depending on the student.

ROCK SCHOOL

Hannah Montana Jonas Brothers Motley Crue

Ever wondered what it would be like to be a real Rock Star? Well now you can. Join the band you want to be in, you can choose bands from the 60's 70's 80's 90's or current bands. Select the instrument that you want to play and become a real Rock Star!. Classes include music notation. You then have the opportunity to perform at birthday parties for Kids and Teens. If you are an older student then you will have the opportunity to perform live at Bali SoDA or other schools and selected venues in Bali. Students wishing to sign up for this class must have their own instrument so they can practice at home. Piano and drums are provided by the school.

JAZZ  DANCE

This energetic jazz class is the gateway to all other forms of dance. This is an energetic class and after you have become quite good, you will be choreographed into the Bali SoDA Jazz  Dance Company and perform live on stage. Jazz shoes can be bought at the school.

PIANO

It's never too early to give your child a solid music education.  Ages start from the age of 5 and includes music notation. Classes start with 4 students and when ready go to private lessons. If you already play the piano then you can start right away with private lessons.
